Business Performance Senior Manager, Integration Management

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will serve as a strategic execution leader within the Results Delivery Office (RDO) Integration Management team, responsible for realizing deal value through successful integration execution.  This includes driving execution, governance, and cross-functional alignment for M&A related integrations. You will direct integration workstreams across functions, ensuring execution against integration plans, people-centered change management, timely issue resolution, executive decision-making, and achievement of integration milestones in alignment with the integration strategy and value drivers.

This highly visible role partners directly with senior leaders across RDO, R&D, Operations, Commercial, Business Development, and Enterprise Functions, offering significant exposure to enterprise strategy and executive decision-making.  You will work closely with the executive Amgen Integration Lead and Integration Management Office leader to establish governance, manage cross-functional dependencies, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure successful delivery of integration objectives while minimizing disruption to ongoing business operations.  This role also partners with key counterparts from the acquired company to manage a change experience reflective of our Amgen values.

This role will be a delegate in key forums, decision-making bodies, and stakeholder engagements during Integrations.  Prepare executive summaries, decision memos, and briefing materials for leadership reviews.  Drive timely prioritization and decision-making aligned with stakeholder expectations.  This role will support overall implementation of complex cross-functional projects, often parachuting into critical workstreams to de-bottleneck and/or accelerate performance.  This role provides a unique opportunity to influence enterprise-wide strategy and execution across multiple business functions, offering breadth of impact beyond a functional organization.

In addition to active integrations, this role will continuously improve Amgen's integration methodology, governance framework, and integration capabilities to enable consistent execution across future acquisitions and strategic partnerships.  Because integration activity varies over time, this role can also work on high-priority enterprise transformation initiatives led by the Results Delivery Office.  This provides a unique opportunity to apply integration expertise across enterprise priorities while continuously expanding leadership experience.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in change and project management, including the ability to interface with and synthesize inputs from cross-functional subject matter experts, often in highly technical fields. The ideal candidate will have experience leading product teams or experience on M&A integrations.  A successful candidate is someone who adapts and thrives in a constantly evolving and fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities:

Developing and maintaining the integrated execution plan, governance framework, milestones, timelines, and reporting.

Overseeing the plans and execution across cross-functional integration workstreams, ensuring milestones, deliverables, risks, and dependencies are actively managed and escalated as appropriate.

Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders on implementation planning and execution.

Facilitating cross-functional workshops and task forces to accelerate delivery and resolve blockers.

Driving change management efforts including stakeholder engagement, communications, and training.

Gathering, analyzing, synthesizing cross-functional information across a variety of sources to turn unstructured business issues and requests into appropriate transformation mapping, implementation plans, and high-quality deliverables.

Driving integration health reporting through dashboards, KPIs, and executive scorecards.

Escalating integration risks and recommending mitigation strategies to executive leadership.

Ensuring integration activities remain aligned with the deal objectives, value creation opportunities, and business continuity.

Supporting program level presentations and reports that clearly summarize status, issues, implications and recommendations to key partners to inform and communicate decision making.

Capturing lessons learned and incorporating improvements into the enterprise integration playbook for future Amgen integrations.
